U-NET offers more space
U-NET has announced that from December 7th 98 it's 5mb of web space currently offered to its users will be increased to 25mb.

This move will offer greater opportunity and flexibility for users to design and operate truly useful web sites.Marketing Manager Jim Brooks says, "Some ISP's offer web space but limit what you can use it for, U-NET however will maintain its policy of allowing customers the extra space for either business or personal use".

New browser launched
Can Opera steal a march on the big two browser manufacturers?
The latest version of Opera www.operasoftware.com, a Web browser that uses far less memory and hard drive space than either Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer, threatens to upset the long-standing dominance of the big two. Version 3.5 of the software adds support for both the Java programming language and Cascading Style Sheets, giving it a feature set that is virtually identical to it's bigger rivals.
Though only available on the PC, Opera Software plans to release both Unix and Macintosh versions of the browser, and is continuing to support the package’s unique customisation options. Users can download different sets of interface icons from the company Web site, or create their own, which makes the package ideal both for the enthusiast who loves to tinker, and corporate users who want to create a more branded front end.
